8th to 16th February 2016....Back in the USA......

Hello blog followers and welcome to more tales from this side of the pond  with Yorkieman and Mrs Blogger....we are hoping to snatch some rays and warm the old  bones (along with the snowbirds) in Florida, maybe Yorkieman might even get a round or two of golf...
We had a very good flight with BA to Atlanta, so often it comes down to having a good In Flight Director and now enjoying a few days visiting with our good friends in Georgia....
This photo is of the State Capitol Building in Atlanta....I was lucky enough to go with Myra and Leaders of Habersham Chamber of Commerce on an organised trip to the Capitol......
Built in1889 in the style of the US Capitol in Washington. and quite easy to loose a sense of direction inside !!.....
A really good and very interesting day seeing the Senate and House of Representatives in action.....very cold, below freezing this morning when we left Cornelia at 07.30 but so good to see the sun after our rainy winter.....
Sunday 14th and a brisk (temps still at freezing) walk uphill (about a mile) to the Chenocetah Historic Fire Lookout Tower.....
We had planned to head south yesterday but a mechanical problem with our truck meant partaking of Myra and Bill's southern hospitality for an extra few days....
A view of Lake Russell taken from the tower.....
The King and Queen buildings....
Tuesday 16th February, truck fixed (good news the work was under warranty) fond farewells Bill and Myra and on our way south through Atlanta after picking up the trailer from storage on route....as it had been so cold the hydraulics to raise the legs were a bit sticky but managed to get hitched and on the road without incident...

The financial district of Atlanta and traffic quite light....
What would my blog be without a few water-towers !!!!!
It's a beautiful blue sky sunny day and lovely warm 64F by the time we get to Perry 200 miles south of Cornelia....
We are all set for a couple of days here in Perry to restock the fridge/freezer and store cupboards and get ourselves once again settled into life on the road...
At the moment we are mainly relishing having the windows and door open and enjoying the warm sunshine after a grey and wet winter in UK.....

More soon from The Trainee Snowbirds....
